MYArts is home to three beautiful murals, located on the outside of the building facing Ingersoll Street.

These murals were created by Dane Arts Mural Arts (DAMA) Community Project, Amy Zaremba (designer), with help from Art + Sons and numerous other artists including Yvette Pino (silk screening), Cultural Connections Madison, Little Picassos, Capital High SAIL West, Goodman Community Center Seed to Table, and 70+ other student artists who helped with creating the patterns and details. Read more to learn about the community effort to create the murals.

Mural 1: Installed November 2021

These murals were created during the height of the pandemic, which meant we had to find a creative way to include youth contributions without actually being in the same space with them. DAMA artists led numerous zoom sessions in which young artists created sketches, drawings, and patterns. These images were then screen printed as textures and details throughout the murals.

See below to learn more about the youth artists’s contributions!
